The BART Strike Survival Guide: Extra Ferry Service, Carpooling, Strike Updates

AC Transit Contract Talks Resume Today

Unions representing AC Transit employees have not announced a strike date. They have said they will give the public 24 hours' notice before striking.

Park for free in BART lots during the strike! Use them to coordinate your casual carpool, BART officials suggest. If you hold a parking pass, never fear -- you will be reimbursed for each day of the strike.   

BART will provide charter bus service to San Francisco from the Fremont, El Cerrito del Norte, East Dublin/Pleasanton and Walnut Creek BART stations, beginning at 5 a.m. This bus service will only be able to accomodate between 2,000 and 4,000 riders a day each way.
