How a Rockridge Novelist Writes — and Snacks

A Q&A in the spirit of summertime beach reading.

"Anglo-Saxons, tea and sex. A winning combination," Rockridge novelist Patricia Bracewell tweeted this week.

A link with her tweet led to Bracewell's blog and an entry about the "Tasty Sumer Reads Blog Hop," where writers invite other writers to answer five questions about their latest book or current project.

In the spirit of summer beach reading, these aren't deep literary questions. Bracewell was asked, for example, "When writing, are you a snacker? If so, sweet or salty?" and "On a level of one being slightly naughty and ten being whoo hoo steamy, how would you rate your book?"

You can read Bracewell's answers on her blog here.

Bracewell is the author of the historical novel Shadow on the Crown, published in the U.S. last February and released in Great Britain just in time for summer. Read more about her in an earlier Rockridge Patch interview, "1,000-Year-Old Queen Springs to Life in Rockridge.
