Rockridge Crime Report: Robbery, Burglaries
Major recent incidents in and near Rockridge.

From a Yahoo neighborhood group newsletter (but not yet confirmed by Oakland police): An apparent break-in attempt at a home in the Broadway Terrace area on Saturday, Dec. 15 during a community meeting. According to a person attending the meeting, the homeowners spotted an unfamiliar person at their back door and an unfamiliar light blue station wagon parked in their driveway. A guest tried to block the station wagon, but the intruders escaped, damaging the guest's vehicle in the process.

Dec. 13, 8 a.m., Ruby Street near 40th Street. Forcible entry.
Dec. 15, 4:50 p.m., 5100 block of Lawton Avenue. No forced entry.
Dec. 17, 12:50 a.m., 5300 block of Lawton Avenue.
Vehicle Theft
Dec. 13, 2:30 p.m., 5800 block of Miles Avenue.
